Cybersecurity and International Affairs
Cybersecurity increasingly shapes global politics, national security, and international cooperation. The Cybersecurity and International Affairs research area examines how digital technologies influence geopolitical competition, conflict, governance, and diplomacy. Researchers study how states, organizations, and other actors use and respond to cyber capabilities, as well as the policies and institutions that shape the global cybersecurity landscape.
This work brings together expertise from cybersecurity, political science, law, and international relations to address issues such as cyber conflict and deterrence, global cyber norms and governance, digital sovereignty, and the security implications of emerging technologies. By analyzing the intersection of technology and international affairs, researchers help inform policies and strategies that promote stability, security, and responsible behavior in cyberspace.
