Emerging Tech Brew Article: How AI could turn the tide against robocalls

Kelcee Griffis, a reporter for Tech Brew, interviewed SCP Professor Mustaque Ahamad about how artificial intelligence can be used to automatically block spam phone calls. It's a project Ahamad and Georgia Tech alum Sharbani Pandit (CS Ph.D. 21), set out to solves a few years ago when they developed RoboHalt, a smartphone application that uses machine learning and natural language processing to intercept and screen incoming calls for scams.
