Across the Institute, researchers are combining advances in AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity to develop tools that can automate time-consuming security tasks while giving defenders new ways to understand and protect complex digital systems. This work includes autonomous cyber reasoning systems that can identify and patch software vulnerabilities, AI-powered tools that analyze the security of code and systems, and research examining the risks and security challenges created by the growing use of AI itself.
